Join us this March to mark the anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery civil rights marches, as we learn from the past, reflect on the present and plan for the future.

61st Bloody Sunday Commemoration Activities
Honor Selma’s civil rights heritage with Foot Soldiers Park’s two-day anniversary event – featuring firsthand accounts of Bloody Sunday and a panel discussion between the foot soldiers of 1965 and the next generation.
Plus join in the fun and family-friendly activities – including live music performances, Kid Zone activities, food trucks and much more!

All-Day Screening: 1965 Foot Soldiers tell their stories
Location: Foot Soldiers Park headquarters, 1018 Water Avenue, Suite 1
Join us in our auditorium and listen to firsthand accounts of Bloody Sunday from those who were on the frontlines as teenagers and children. Recordings will play throughout the day.

Location: Foot Soldiers Park future home, 1705 Selma Avenue
Enjoy great food, drinks, family-friendly activities and live music – all in one unforgettable day! DJ Double J and the Clutch Band will keep the energy high, and you won’t want to miss our dynamic panel “What We Fought For, What We’re Still Fighting For” featuring 1965 foot soldiers alongside the next generation of foot soldiers!
